We’re looking for passionate volunteers to join our team! Whether it’s cat socialization, dog training, medical care, or enrichment preparation, we have a spot for you.
Volunteer opportunities are available at our main shelter and at the PetSmart in Champaign.
We welcome volunteers of all ages with a parent or guardian. Shifts are offered at various days and times, including evenings and weekends!

Cat Care and Socialization – Champaign PetSmart
| Our cats in Champaign need volunteers to socialize and care for them while they wait to be adopted!
This PetSmart is located just a few minutes away from campus, making it a perfect opportunity for cat lovers in the Champaign-Urbana area. |

Dog Field Trips:
| Taking a hike, getting ice cream, or just relaxing at home? One of our adoptable shelter dogs would love to join you! |  |
Dog Training and Behavior:
| Work with our adoptable dogs and puppies on basic commands, leash manners, and confidence.
We also need help preparing enrichment, including frozen Kongs and frisbees! |

Cat Care and Socialization – Main Shelter:
With up to 160 cats in our building, cat volunteers are an integral part of our shelter. Join us to socialize and care for all ages and types of cats, including bottle babies and seniors!
Medical Care:
