YOUR FAMILY RESOURCE CONNECTION
201 North Hazel St., Danville, IL 61832
Interim Executive Director: Tonya Jones
12-15 Member Voluntary Board of Directors

The Women's Shelter and Sexual Assault Crisis Services are programs of Your Family Resource Connection (YFRC) of Danville.  YFRC is part of a statewide network of 30 domestic violence shelters and 29 sexual assault crisis centers committed to the prevention and elimination of violence against women and children.

The Domestic Violence Shelter provides temporary housing for women and their children who are escaping an abusive home environment.  Support services, including assistance with securing an Order of Protection, are also provided free of charge.  Services are also available through the YFRC R.E.A.C.H Program for women, children, men and their significant others who have been victims of sexual violence.  R.E.A.C.H. stands for Recovery, Education, Advocacy, Counseling, and Hope.  In addition, YFRC has a residential program for women and their children who are homeless.  Women work toward individualized goals while in this program and work together with their counselor to obtain permanent housing.

For specific information on programs and services, contact their office directly at (217) 446-1217 or by FAX at (217) 443-6845.  The Crisis Hotline is staffed 24 hours a day - (217) 443-5566 or 1 (888) 549-1800.

In 2007, YFRC received funding from the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault, the Illinois Attorney General's Office, Federal Crime Victim's Assistance Funds, the Illinois Department of Human Services, the Vermilion County Mental Health 708 Board, the Danville United Way, and community contributions.
