Voting Absentee - Application for Absentee Ballot

If you registered to vote, but are unable to vote at your polling place on election day for one of following reasons, you are eligible to vote absentee.

You may vote absentee by mail by completing the following adobe acrobat form and mailing it to:

    Lynn Foster, County Clerk, 6 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61832.

* Please complete the yellow highlighted areas, and mark the appropriate box (that explains why you are unable to vote at your polling place).

Reasons for Voting Absentee

1.  You expect to be absent from your City/County of Residence (including students temporarily abiding outside the precinct in which he or she is registered to vote due to the fact that he or she is a student attending an Institution of higher learning).

2.  You are physically unable to go to the polling place.

3.  You are observing a religious holiday.

4.  You are performing certain election duties.

5.   You are serving as a sequestered juror on a state or federal jury.


Voting Absentee in Person

If you qualify to vote absentee, you may also do so in person at the County Clerk's office from 40 days before the election through the day before.  During this time period the office is open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon for absentee voting.
