Each Resident is a Special Person...
Vermilion Manor's goal is to provide the best possible care for
each resident. A personalized Care Plan involving staff, services and
activities throughout the facility is developed for each resident and updated
regularly. Residents and their families are encouraged to participate in this
process.
Day-to-day care and attention to each resident's needs is
managed by the Vermilion Manor Nursing staff. A staff physician sees residents
regularly and is on call for emergencies. Rehabilitation services and special
diets ordered by physicians are provided at no additional cost to the
resident.
A resident ombudsman serves as the resident's advocate. Working
closely with area hospitals and the resident's family, the Vermilion Manor
staff arranges transfers to medical care facilities, long-term or residential
care programs, or the resident's own home.
Activities (games, music, pet therapy, school visits, religious
programs, shopping trips, birthday and holiday parties, crafts, reading, cable
television, and more) are available. Nutritious, appetizing meals are served in
the attractive dining rooms and provide another opportunity for residents to
socialize. Families and visitors may purchase meals at a nominal cost. A snack
store, cart and vending machines are available for purchasing snacks.
Vermilion Manor subscribes to the Patient's Bill of Rights,
which reinforces our commitment to insure the welfare, freedom and dignity of
every Vermilion Manor resident.
